We are the Product Systems Quality team, and we are a team of motivated and creative engineers, admired for taking on challenges and articulating ideas effectively. You'll be part of a vibrant team dedicated to upholding the quality of Apple’s first-party Inductive charging accessories. Apply your technical expertise to solve complicated issues collaboratively with cross-functional partners, ensuring customer-facing problems are swiftly resolved. Play a pivotal role in enabling accessory testing globally and lead expansive cross-functional projects at the intersection of Hardware and Software. This role also demands orchestrating large-scale projects from test plan inception through to firmware architecture discussions, result reporting, and risk management.

Description

In this role, you will:

  • Craft detailed test plans to ensure wireless charging accessories excel under typical and extreme customer conditions.
  • Automate repetitive tests and aggregate results from international test sites.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to steer test design, coverage analysis, execution, and reporting.
  • Collaborate autonomously with developers and hardware engineers to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
  • Proactively investigate and debug complex challenges, driving towards effective solutions.
  • Exhibit outstanding organizational skills, creativity, motivation, and a focus on delivering results.
  • Lead deployment of automation tools at test sites, coordinating shipping, logistics, troubleshooting, and data coordination.
  • Champion superior customer-facing quality at every development lifecycle stage.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.

  • 2+ years of experience testing complex systems with multiple hardware and software components.

  • Expertise in bug hunting and regression testing within embedded systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Scripting proficiency in Python.

  • Knowledge of USB and Inductive charging, including applications and testing methodologies.

  • System-level insight into charging via USB and/or Qi, Qi2 standards.

  • Skill in analyzing large datasets to extract insights, with visualization experience using tools like Tableau.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $136,300 and $248,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
