Membership Portfolio Services, within our US Consumer Services Business, is responsible for developing and scaling several growing businesses that are strategically important to American Express. We are developing unique and differentiated ways to strengthen the Membership Model by connecting Card Members with Merchants that create opportunities to help drive our growth over the mid-to-long term.
How will you make an impact in this role?
The Senior Manager, Amex Offers Partnerships role sits within the Amex Offers Digital Media team. The role will report to the Director, Global Product & Partnerships and will be focused on setting the strategy, conducting business development and managing relationships for Amex Offers Partners. He/She will own the short and long-term strategy for Third Party Content Partnerships globally and will run the day-to-day management of the US partnerships including establishing and/or renegotiating contracts, monitoring performance of the partners, product enhancements, integration and uplifts and identifying opportunities for MFV growth and increased efficiencies. As the lead for these partnerships, he/she will work closely with the Amex Offers Sales and Sourcing team, product development teams, engineering and analytics to identify, assess and execute against the partnership to deliver success.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy: Evaluate the Offers landscape (internally and externally) and create and own short, medium and long-term strategies that will help us achieve our goals.
Business Development: conduct partner outreach and identify new Partner opportunities that align with our strategy
Relationship Management: Lead day-to-day management of US Partners; identify merchant offer opportunities, assess performance and work with finance on monthly invoicing and reconciliation processes.
Business lead for partner integrations: work with product and engineering to resolve technical issues and assess new capabilities for partners.
Partner Management: develop relationships with external partners and identify growth opportunities that align with the partner and Amex goals.
Own contract negotiations and re-contracting: partner with legal and internal stakeholders during contract discussions
Oversight and excellence: manage internal reviews and required approvals for external partnerships
Metrics of Success: defining, tracking and socializing metrics of success
Minimum Qualifications:
A proven track record of managing complex partnerships and long-term projects
Experience working in business development
Ability to influence and manage cross-functional partners to drive a project to completion
Strong project management, analytical and presentation skills.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to ingest multiple viewpoints and determine and appropriate go-forward plan.
Strong quantitative skills that enable the analysis of KPIs and generation of actionable recommendations with measurable value.
Experience negotiating contracts or deal terms.
Proven ability to adjust quickly to shifting priorities and manage through ambiguity and rapid change.
Qualifications
Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually bonus benefits
