Summary
The Industrial Design Color Team is seeking a highly organized Archivist/Inventory Administrator to manage and streamline our historical program materials collection.
Description
This role involves reviewing accumulated program materials, consulting with team members to determine what to retain or dispose of, and developing a comprehensive cataloging system for retained materials. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, flexible, and able to work autonomously while creating clear labeling and categorization standards that make our archives accessible and well-documented. This position requires exceptional organizational skills, strong communication abilities for stakeholder consultation, and a systematic approach to bringing order to complex collections.
Minimum Qualifications
5-7 years experience in related field
Experience in a creative, design-driven environment
Calm presence
Confidentiality and discretion a must
Preferred Qualifications
Emphasis on product identification systems (model numbers, part numbers, etc.)
Thorough knowledge of the history and evolution of Apple’s culture and products
Ability to assess archiving and support needs and develop effective solutions from the ground up
Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously over long periods of time, prioritize and re-prioritize projects in response to changing needs of the Studio
Ability to research background information when not provided, for archived materials
Knowledge of Excel/Numbers, Illustrator, Photos, and FileMaker
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $101,192 and $197,500 annualized, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
