The Global Commercial Services Marketing team (GCSM) is responsible for making business membership essential by creating and delivering world class marketing for our differentiated products and services that drives demand and inspires engaged card members across the customer lifecycle. GCSM markets a breadth of products across charge, lending, co-brand, and corporate cards. It also markets small business banking and B2B solutions.

The Senior Manager, Third-Party Management will serve as the operational leader responsible for designing, building, and institutionalizing a centralized third-party governance framework for Global Commercial Services Marketing.

Reporting to the Director of Risk Performance and Third-Party Management, this role will lead the transformation and stabilization of Marketing’s third-party oversight model across 150 engagements. The Senior Manager will establish visibility, ownership clarity, risk segmentation, performance transparency, and disciplined governance routines that align to enterprise risk requirements and regulatory expectations.

This is a build-and-operationalize role. The successful candidate will translate strategic direction into structured execution, embedding sustainable governance mechanisms that strengthen review readiness, reduce fragmentation, and elevate first line risk ownership.

The role includes one direct report and will operate within a highly matrixed environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a full assessment of Marketing’s 150 third-party engagements, identifying redundancies, synergies, and opportunities for consolidation, cost efficiency, or governance improvement.

  • Implement improved third-party risk oversight practices that simplify management, reduce duplicate effort, and strengthen end-to-end monitoring.

  • Evaluate and define Marketing’s role as Third-Party Relationship Manager (TRM) for high-risk third parties, including developing a roadmap for potential expansion into additional categories.

  • Partner with Enterprise Third-Party Management teams to ensure proper documentation, controls, and risk mitigation for Marketing vendors.

  • Lead and manage one direct report

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated expertise in operational risk management, performance measurement, or control management.

  • Experience managing or overseeing third-party vendors, including assessment, governance, and optimization.

  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority.

  • Exceptional communication skills—clear, structured, persuasive—with an ability to educate and inspire teams around risk and performance ownership.

  • A continuous improvement mindset with a passion for building structure, clarity, and scalable processes.

  • Strong program management skills with the ability to translate ambiguity into structured execution.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with marketing operations, digital tools, or marketing technologies is a plus.
