Brief Role Descriptions:

Data privacy and adherence to regulations such as GDPR, DPA, and ePrivacy directives in the EU and UK, which require consent for tracking users (e.g. cookies), are becoming the norm. The Digital Tracking Product Management Associate will execute critical remediation initiatives across the Digital Tracking ecosystem. Specifically, this role will focus on the efficient delivery of key regulatory and remediation-related initiatives across our Digital Tracking platforms and products generally, including partnering with lines of business, other product teams, and second line partners. Through the coordinated delivery of end-to-end solutions and process enhancements, this role will execute on critical near-term remediation goals, while optimizing our planning, research, and operations across the remediation work stream, consent, and scanning products.

This requires a motivated, self-starter who can work across a complex platform, data, and experience landscape, while developing key relationships, core collateral, and knowledge of the constant evolution of privacy regulations across the globe. This role will be a key player in various complex projects driving both internal and external customer objectives across our global business.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Senior Managers of Scanning and Remediation, Web Governance, Engineering, Centers of Excellence, and wider organizational teams to meet privacy and compliance goals across the enterprise

  • Support our core European privacy work streams, including the development of frameworks and tooling, research and scanning models, and efficient remediation and scanning operations

  • Research, document, and communicate complex tracking activities and related detail to summarize key tracker functions and use cases, while creating clear recommendations for senior leadership and partners

  • Collaborate with product owners, content owners, and page owners across the entire American Express Enterprise in support of remediation efforts

  • Work with Enterprise teams to establish how digital tracking platforms can support a more robust and long-term strategy for digital tracking governance

  • Communicate and report on remediation activities, risk levels and areas of opportunity to senior privacy leadership

Qualifications Requirements :

  • Experience in digital product/project management and strategy, operations, or enablement – ideally supporting existing data and/or consumer-facing product(s)

  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, easily understood concepts and collateral for communication across a wide breadth of stakeholders, including senior leadership

  • Experience with website and webpage infrastructure, understanding of digital trackers, including pixels and cookies, as well as a basic website scripts and code

  • Technical: Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, strong ability to digest, analyze, and action large sets of data. Knowledge of project management tools such as Jira, Rally, and Confluence

  • Demonstrated ability to be comfortable with white space and working through ambiguity - ability to solve problems through innovative and creative thinking

  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills; persuasive and ability to influence decisions and drive results without direct authority

  • Experience building and sustaining effective relationships with business partners and colleagues across a matrix organization

  • Flexibility to work and manage business partners across multiple time zones

  • Driven, collaborative, self-motivated, and able to act with a high level of independence

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Qualifications

Salary Range: $60,000.00 to $110,000.00 annually bonus benefits
