We are seeking a Global Commodity Manager to join our AppleCare team. In this role, you will manage continuity of supply, warranty redemption, supplier quality claims, repair and testing, reverse logistics, and costs for service products components. You will collaborate cross-functionally to achieve results in a fast-paced environment.
Description
As a Global Commodity Manager, you will design and implement solutions that achieve business-critical metrics for the AppleCare supply chain. You will partner closely with planning, purchasing, finance, engineering, and quality teams to ensure full support throughout the service phase of the product lifecycle. You will also leverage data, systems, and emerging technologies to drive efficiency and optimize supply chain performance.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Computer Applications, or a related field
7+ years of experience in operations, manufacturing, sourcing, supply chain, computer applications, or a related area.
Background in vendor management, including working with contract manufacturers and negotiating contractual terms.
Knowledge of component manufacturing processes and identifying and resolving engineering quality issues.
Proficiency in using SQL and databases to create data-driven solutions.
Track record of presenting technical and business information to cross-functional teams and leading project initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Computer Applications, or a related field is preferred
Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese.
Experience utilizing AI/ML technologies to drive supply chain efficiency.
Understanding of demand planning and supply chain planning.
Communication and interpersonal skills to build cross-functional relationships, influence stakeholders, and drive projects.
Ability to operate independently, make quick decisions, and train team members when necessary.
Analytical and critical thinking skills to resolve complex supply chain issues and anomalies using ambiguous data.
