AIML’s Device Infrastructure & Cloud Engineering team is focused on building tools and infrastructure for device data centers that serve all of Apple. As one of the pioneers in the company for supporting a device data center, we solve very practical and ambitious large-scale problems.

Description

We’re looking for a full-stack software engineer who wants to bring their passion for building incredible applications that delight users to support one of the first device automation centers at Apple. In this role, you will be building partnerships with all teams across the organization.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional full-stack engineering experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Angular, Node.js, and HTML/CSS.

  • Proficiency with React and modern front-end frameworks (e.g., Next.js).

  • Experience with UI/UX design principles and ability to translate design requirements into responsive interfaces.

  • Familiarity with RESTful API design.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Rapid prototyping skills to create interactive demos and validate ideas.

  • Ability to build relationships and drive technical direction.

  • Knowledge of modern CI/CD practices and version control with Git.

  • Ability to work with relational and/or NoSQL databases.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot full-stack applications.

  • Strong experience with at least one backend language: Go, Java, or Python.

  • Experienced in conducting user research and applying design thinking methodology to develop user-centric solutions.

  • Understanding of cloud services (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure) and container orchestration systems such as Kubernetes (K8s).

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $181,100 and $318,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
