Description

American Express Company seeks Directors, Data Science to lead a team responsible for developing, implementing, and tracking AI/ML models for driving digital personalization in prospect marketing, automating data capability and model governance. Drive the next generation of innovations in marketing predictive models with a focus on researching and developing newer and better models using best in class big data and machine learning solutions. Work with massive amounts of digital data (Web, App, API) and sophisticated tools in an industry leading Big Data environment. Build everything from basic reports to advanced machine learning models and algos to drive improvements to our customer’s online and mobile app experiences. Work with product owners to revolutionize the product and content design with a data-driven approach. Collaborate with tech partners to test, implement, deploy and ensure accurate and efficient implementation of modeling solutions to production system. Leverage the power of closed loop through Amex network by collaborating with cross-functional teams to make decisions more intelligent and relevant. Oversee model governance and ensure model adhere to regulatory frameworks standards.

Position requires a Master’s degree in Econometrics, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, and 2 years of experience developing and implementing predictive models for prospect personalization marketing using large datasets in the financial services industry. Experience must include 2 years of experience with: leveraging sophisticated analytical and machine learning techniques; applying marketing data science and machine learning within the financial industry; developing and managing the lifecycle of predictive models for marketing, from research and design to implementation, performance monitoring, and retraining; statistical and data mining techniques, including predictive analytics, deep learning, and boosting; framing complex business problems into mathematical programming problems to engineer solutions and deliver business insights; providing senior leadership with data-driven insights to inform critical business decisions; analytical languages, including Python and Spark; databases, including Hive, Hadoop, and SQL; model validation and model risk management with governance, compliance and auditing in a regulated finance industry; and cloud platforms, including AWS and Google Cloud. Telecommuting is available up to 2 days per week.

Qualifications

Salary Range: $150,000.00 to $225,000.00 annually
