Description
APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Source, select, and qualify suppliers for components and materials used in Apple’s technology and products, such as memory, analog ICs, and discrete silicon components. Investigate alternate component technologies or materials to reduce cost and improve quality and reliability in Apple’s technology and products. Act as the technical interface between component suppliers and development engineers, enabling new and alternate sources for new feature enablement, supply risk mitigation, and cost savings. Develop nuanced understanding of Board Electrical commodity landscapes to forecast industry trends and gauge emerging competitive forces. Identify changes in buyer and supplier dynamics within Board Electrical markets and leverage competitive dynamics to Apple's advantage. Interface with suppliers to negotiate optimal terms for sourcing silicon based electrical components. Understand the tradeoffs between cost, volume, and quality in order to strike agreements that meet Apple's performance criteria and secure supply continuity to meet engineering specifications and end customer demand. Optimize global supply chain performance through cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking. Handle demand and forecast management across business lines, and work with suppliers to resolve supply shortage. International travel required 5%. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $122,300 - $184,600/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Supply Chain Management or related field and 6 months of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
Experience and/or education must include:
Using Excel or Tableau to manage complex data, analyze and derive conclusions from complex datasets with thousands of part-program-site combinations for cost modeling, vendor strategy creation, and price negotiation
Managing programs, including delivering results within tight timelines by breaking problem into sub tasks, assigning DRI for each sub-task, and following up to close open items within a clear timeline
Initiating, negotiating, and executing vendor contracts such as MDSAs, ARPAs, SOWs, and Environmental agreements
Designing, reviewing, and executing sourcing strategy for the assigned commodity, including vendor selection, technical roadmap review, NPI qualification strategy, negotiation leverage identification, and allocation strategy
Conducting Demand / Supply forecasting to build business cases around vendor capacity planning, CapEx justification, and Last Time Buy estimation
Developing RFP/RFQ Strategy for securing maximum cost savings for Apple that incorporates complete portfolio within and outside Board Electrical space
Conducting Inventory Management for striking the right balance between buffer stock to absorb demand fluctuations while minimizing risk of lifetime excess inventory
