The Finance Digital Transformation team delivers machine learning solutions to Apple’s Finance organization. As a team of technical data professionals, we partner with internal and external teams to build innovative products that evolve Finance’s decision making capabilities.
Description
This leadership role requires a unique blend of technical expertise, people management skills and business acumen. As an FDT Engineering Manager you will provide leadership, help plan and execute, build solutions and enable innovative career paths for a team of data scientists and machine learning engineers.
Minimum Qualifications
M.S. in related quantitative field with three years of experience leading a data team
5+ years of experience developing and delivering data driven solutions
2+ years managing technical or product centric teams
Experience delivering data solutions in product context using agile scrum
Practical experience with and theoretical understanding of algorithms and methods for forecasting, regression and classification
Experience implementing and supporting data pipelines
Understanding of and hands on experience with relational databases
Excellent visual communication ability using code or software
SQL and python expert including experience evaluating and optimizing others’ code
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with encryption and data security standards
Experience with the software development lifecycle and version control
Experience working with containerized environments
Corporate finance and accounting experience an advantage
