The Worldwide Business Process Re-engineering (BPR) team is looking for an experienced Program Manager to manage large, complex initiatives for Apple’s Product Launch Readiness (PLR) team to drive transformation through process, data and technology solutions. The WW BPR PLR team partners with Operations Readiness, Material Data Management, and Product Lifecycle Management teams to improve business processes and implement solutions to drive successful product launches.
You will oversee all aspects of project information including timelines, resource allocation, scope, and provide oversight for the assigned portfolio of projects.
Description
We are seeking candidates with deep supply chain experience specific to New Product Introduction (NPI). This role will require candidates with unique knowledge of Apple’s launch planning processes and technology platforms. This role will need to conceptualize the vision, articulate solution strategies and efficiently deliver capabilities to achieve the intended business case. They will need to proactively lead discussions with the business teams to construct solutions and translate them into comprehensive requirements for delivery teams. They must stay ahead of business and IS&T to deliver global solutions at scale. This role will need to be a "problem solver” who can “think outside the box” to resolve challenges in a creative and effective fashion for the team. They need to be self-directed, motivated, and comfortable working in an extremely fast-paced environment. Candidates should be able to develop strong partnerships and demonstrate effective communication skills to become a trusted advisor to the PLR team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Gather and synthesize detailed, global business requirements and design
specifications.
2. Partner with key business stakeholders to assess current processes, pain points and improvement opportunities. Develop and implement future business processes.
3. Act as a liaison between the business teams and IS&T (Information Systems and Technology) to ensure that the business requirements are complete and met by the proposed technology solutions.
4. Drive the design, development, implementation and management of solutions for Customers.
5. Work with business leads to define and manage business process and technology roadmaps in support of long-term divisional strategies.
6. Implement new ideas effectively within the Apple culture. Influence decisions and change management through collaboration, leadership, and a customer-focused approach.
7. Provide functional subject matter expertise.
8. Manage complex projects to major milestones. Develop project justification proposals, business cases and return on investment estimates; obtain executive approval and funding.
9. Develop and maintain key project governance documentation to ensure the proper amount of structure is applied to enable project success.
10. Facilitate project related testing, roll-out, and post-mortem work.
11. Provide timely updates and elevate critical risks to management and senior executive teams.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree required in Supply Chain, Business, Computer Science, or related field.
8+ years broad supply chain management exposure with expertise in new product introduction and supply chain operations.
Experience driving supply chain process improvement / Kaizen, quality Six Sigma, and Lean efforts
Experience planning, managing, and delivering medium (6-8 month) to large (8-12+month) projects, including brainstorming and requirements gathering.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of NPI Processes and SAP ERP system is a plus
Proficient knowledge of systems implementation and development life cycles, including business process flow diagramming.
Literacy with process modeling tools, MS Excel, and basic project planning tools
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $139,200 and $209,900, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
