Description

The Developer Publications Intelligence Tools team operates at the intersection of software engineering and applied machine learning. Members of this team work to codify the processes of ML engineers into robust, reliable workflows that also allow for the experimentation required to push ML workflows forward.

To enable this kind of iterative progress, members of this team are tasked with understanding the work done by ML engineers. This understanding allows them to translate that into products that enhance ML engineers’ productivity. The e?ects of this work are felt beyond Developer Publications.

Teams across Apple benefit from the productivity boosts provided by the tools we make. Engineers interested in this role should have an understanding of what it takes to be a software developer while also having a passion for tools and machine learning. That passion should require candidates to think deeply about design and system architecture as well as the cross functional relationships required to accomplish them.

Minimum Qualifications

• Proven track record to comprehend, interpret, and apply innovative research into customer-oriented products, particularly developer tools

• BS, MS or PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or Machine Learning (or equivalent experience)

Preferred Qualifications

• Comfortable working cross-functionally, bringing together multiple fields and expertise

• Proficiency using open-source ML toolkits and frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, OpenNMT)
