Description
We are looking for a full stack iOS engineer to create new features for Apple services powered by Generative AI at the core. As a Software Engineer on our team, you will develop apps, frameworks and daemons for iOS platforms which deliver innovative and reliable interfaces and experiences to our customers. In this role, you will work at all stages of incubation including ideation, development, and experimentation to realize next generation ideas. You will work on the front-end development as well as the iOS native stack. You will actively develop system experiences working closely with Design & UI/UX teams, AI Scientists and R&D engineers on next-gen GenAI Systems.
Minimum Qualifications
BS/MS plus 6 or more years of iOS development experience, with a strong track record in both user-facing apps and system-level components.
Ability to design, architect and quickly complete projects with minimal supervision and direction
Ability to collaborate across a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, researchers, and designers
Deep expertise with software engineering for Apple platforms, specifically iPhone and iPad
Exceptional development experience at the application level with Swift, Objective-C, Cocoa, or C++.
Knowledge of Apple’s development APIs (UIKit, Cocoa Touch, Cocoa, CoreFoundation).
Proficiency in XCode, Swift, UI/UX design, Core Data management
Experience with native UI, database, data processing and interaction with back-end
Knowledgable with operating systems design - daemons, frameworks, cross process communication, embedded platforms
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities
Excellent communication skills, and thrive in a collaborative team environment, strong problem-solving skills, critical thinker, and self-starter
Preferred Qualifications
Passion for the customer experience, and obsessive about details
Working experience and deep understanding of full-stack software, object-oriented design, distributed systems, and multi-threading
Background and understanding of Machine Learning & on Device ML is a plus
Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to back-end services
Familiarity with cloud environments like AWS or GCP
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,800 and $312,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
