What will you be doing?

• On behalf of a global financial organization, develop and analyze Regulatory Reporting solutions on the Axiom platform supporting the Risk, Finance and Treasury business within Barclays. • Work on complex data sets with business stakeholders to define business and financial accounting rules to analyze, document, and develop mapping rules that plots the data into regulatory reports. • Build Axiom objects to aid in the delivery of reporting solutions for US Intermediate Holding Company (IHC), Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR) and Central Bank of Ireland (CBI) statistical reporting. • Work with heterogeneous upstream financial data providers to understand initial business requirements and ensuing changes, to perform impact analysis on the Regulatory Reporting platform. • Coordinate and collaborate with various upstream systems and participate in the required rigorous integration testing, defect tracking, and issues and risk management. • Confer and partake in Agile scrum and planning calls across multiple projects, enabling the prioritization of work according to the bigger picture of business impact and tracking deliverables. • Design, develop, and evaluate Axiom objects including data sources, data models, portfolios, aggregations, free-form, tabular reports, and built taxonomy and provide support to regulatory reporting users. • Perform batch scheduling using Autosys, and creation of unit test cases, and shell scripting to automate Axiom workflows, hands on development, performance tuning of Axiom or database objects, including peer review of UNIX scripts and Oracle PL/SQL packages to ensure development standards and quality are maintained.

What we’re looking for:

Minimum of a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field and at least three (3) years of experience in offered position or as a Software Developer, Software Engineer, Application Developer, or related occupation. In the alternative, will accept a Bachelor’s degree, in above referenced disciplines and at least five (5) years of post-baccalaureate progressive experience in above referenced occupations. Must have at least one (1) year of employment experience with each of the following required skills: Analyzing user requirements, enabling the delivery of complex business, and mapping rules in information systems used for regulatory reporting; Developing database schemas, tables, and dictionaries and performing regular memory management tasks for building and managing regulator reports; Troubleshooting performance issues in various test and production environments; Implementing technical solutions on a regulatory reporting platform for external regulatory reporting requirements as mandated by regulators; Working with SQL Server Development, SQL Profiler, ETL (Extract Transform Load) development, data warehousing, end-to-end SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) including Agile Scrum and code versioning using Mercurial (Tortoise Hg).
