Description
APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Work closely with peer team members as well as other teams across Apple on iOS, macOS, and additional embedded platforms to build and maintain software with a particular focus on embedded databases, data modeling, and applications local data caching. These responsibilities include architecting, designing, developing and maintaining Apple operating systems and framework software. Job duties include investigating issues, designing new software and tooling, and working with internal cross functional teams on issues across ORM frameworks and embedded data management. It includes reliability, security, and performance engineering in the affected software areas. It also includes liaison with external developers responsible for SQLite and other technologies as necessary. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $264,514 - $272,100/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Minimum Qualifications
5 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
5 years of experience with each of the following skills is required:
Utilizing Objective-C programming for maintaining legacy software libraries.
Utilizing Swift programming for application development and maintaining software libraries.
Utilizing C and C++ programming for backend or embedded (lower level) software programs or libraries.
Utilizing C and C++ for data transfer between embedded systems and computers, phones or tablets.
Developing data processing and visualization software programs utilizing the Python programming language.
Data modeling and storage (databases), using PostgreSQL, MSSQL, SQLite, or MongoDB.
Defining software requirements and managing software development projects (design, resourcing, cross-functional collaboration).
Designing system and software architecture, including experience in selecting system programming languages, developing software tools and libraries, buy/make decisions and mapping system design.
