The Director, Onboarding role will be joining the Talent Acquisition and Onboarding (TA&O) team under the Talent Centre of Excellence (COE) which is responsible for creating a more seamless, integrated, and overall great experience for colleagues and candidates across many of the moments that matter as our colleagues learn, grow, and connect. The Director, Onboarding role will lead the design and evolution of end-to-end onboarding and cultural integration initiatives to deliver a best-in-class experience for new Team Amex colleagues and hiring leaders. In this highly impactful role, you will lead a team that will establish and manage relationships, develop partnerships, and co-create with a global network of partners to design and deliver a high-impact, consistent, and efficient program of initiatives to enhance the overall colleague experience.
Responsibilities:
Apply deep onboarding subject matter expertise and high-impact consultation to deliver innovative solutions and a data-driven approach that will optimize and elevate our enterprise onboarding experience.
Lead the delivery of the American Express new hire onboarding orientation experience (New to Blue) globally as well as for Executive (Vice President and above) and adhoc needs e.g., for strategic acquisitions (M&A) or Campus and Early Careers.
Manage the design and delivery of new initiatives to support an end-to-end onboarding and cultural integration program to ensure new colleagues are engaged and effective.
Leveraging technology (new and/or existing) to deliver an efficient and impactful experience.
Develop a consistent enterprise onboarding standard and approach, including for Business Units, that uses aligned principles, techniques, and materials.
Partner with the Talent COE, HR Business Partners, and Business Leaders to drive alignment across the enterprise, focusing on current and emerging talent and functional segments.
Interface with a global network of cross-functional, country, and Business Leaders to support program delivery model.
Collect and analyze data to offer strategic insights and measure the results of each initiative implemented to continually enhance the onboarding experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
7 years of experience in onboarding, consulting, program design, development and/or management.
Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to engage, influence and inspire at all levels of the organization.
Proven enterprise thinking, collaboration and relationship building skills.
Experience working in an environment with stringent compliance and/or regulatory requirements.
Superior project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects and tasks to deliver both flawlessly and efficiently.
Demonstrated skills and experience in data analysis with the ability to tell a compelling story.
Change management acumen with the ability to influence and gain sponsorship for change.
Team player, open to feedback, and passionate about collaborating with a cross-functional team to develop winning strategies.
Ability to quickly gain an understanding of the business needs and strategy and articulate the needs of a position.
Demonstrated competence in thinking strategically, analytically, conceptually and innovatively. Willing to be hands-on throughout daily activities.

Qualifications
Salary Range: $130,000.00 to $205,000.00 annually bonus equity (if applicable) benefits
