As a member of our Worldwide Product Marketing group, you’ll lead a team that represents customers and developers throughout the journey from concept through development and launch of our core AI technologies and features. With your team you’ll develop and apply insights to help infuse innovative features into our development process. You’ll work to craft groundbreaking ideas into tangible products and features that excite the world. At Apple, we combine product management/development and product marketing responsibilities into a single, cross functional Product Management role that collaborates with design, engineering, finance, legal, marketing communications, public relations, market research, sales and support for maximum impact across the organization.

We are looking for an experienced Director in Product Management and Product Marketing to lead a team focused on AIML Technologies.

Description

You will lead the team that is deeply involved in the definition and launch of core AI technologies and experiences across Apple’s operating systems and products that power Apple Intelligence, Siri, and more, as well as creating incredible opportunities for developers and researchers to build on these technologies. You will play an instrumental role helping shape and communicate the strategy for our AI technologies and models, and the capabilities those can power across our entire ecosystem. With so many opportunities, you will be a strategic editor to help focus your and your partner team’s efforts on what’s most important for users and developers.

You and your team will craft product and marketing requirements, collaborate with engineering and design to investigate new concepts and ideas, and be the voice of the market to Apple during the development phase. Leading into launch you and your team will craft product messaging briefs, guide marketing communications on the creation of launch materials and act as a spokesperson in press briefings and public events. Together with your team, partner teams and feature teams, you will bring our users products that leverage the latest innovations in AI to enrich their lives.

This role requires an excellent understanding of AI, models, developer experiences, and industry trends. You are comfortable with complex and ambiguous problems and situations, adept at identifying a project’s risks, and hold a commitment to excellence in your work. You have exceptional interpersonal skills and a proven track record of successfully influencing and negotiating with partners and working with many groups to achieve your goals. Engaging and influencing high-level executives, delivering presentations, gaining support for initiatives and advocating your point of view are second nature for you. The teams you’ve built and managed have thrived and contributed outsized impact collectively.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10-15+ years experience, including having led product management and/or product marketing teams through multiple AI-focused product development cycles from concept to launch

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven record leading teams that effectively collaborative with engineering, design, and marketing peers

  • Demonstrated ability to recruit strong product managers and marketers and support their rapid growth

  • Deep understanding and thought leadership around the AI landscape, models, training, and product experiences

  • Flexibility to move seamlessly between highly detailed and technical situations as well as strategic business situations

  • Technical track record working closely with engineering and research teams

  • Experience managing strategic partners and relationships

  • Capacity to lead high level executives through influence, debate, and focusing on what’s best for users, developers, and the entire technology stack

  • Ability to synthesize complex AI technology into product communication for broad audience including developers, researchers, customers, media, analysts, and leading industry specialists

  • Best-in-class story-telling, presentation, and written communication skills

  • Press and media experience with success as a product spokesperson on a national or global level

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Willingness to travel

  • A self-starter who is dedicated and demonstrates creative and critical thinking abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree; MS/MBA preferred

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $290,600 and $464,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
