The Vision Products Group (VPG) is working with some of Apple's most advanced and exciting technologies, including augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) explorations. Description
We’re looking for a creative and motivated test engineer with excellent problem solving and communication skills. Minimum Qualifications
BS in Computer Science/Computer Engineering and/or equivalent experience/skills
2+ years of quality engineering experience
Familiarity with OS concepts and low level system software, drivers and hardware interactions.
Strong scripting experience (Proficiency in Python, Shell) and debugging.
Solid understanding of UNIX-based systems and command-line tools for debugging, analysis, and automation.
Experience with automated testing tools and CI platforms
Good understanding of software QA methodologies & practices.
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and build systems software.
Excellent communication skills, meticulous, analytical, methodical and creative problem solver committed to driving quality forward
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to triage and solve problems involving user/kernel boundary, multi-threading and synchronization.
Understanding of processor power states interactions with other device peripherals.
Programming experiences in Obj-C, Swift, and shell scripting
In-depth understanding of iOS and MacOS.
Familiarity with AR/VR technologies.
Demonstrated ability to own a complete functional area of an application or product
Utilizing CI/CD pipelines to automatically execute tests and reporting quality metrics for to drive test improvement
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $134,800 and $203,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
