PSYCHIATRIST

Part Time * Port Jefferson, NY

Maryhaven Center of Hope is seeking a part time Board Certified Psychiatrist to join our multi-service agency which is committed to fostering the human dignity and personal growth of individuals with special needs. In this essential role, you will provide clinical and psychiatric care to the children and adults that we support in accordance with the needs of each individual.

Key responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to foster the human dignity and personal growth of each person
• Providing Psychiatric review to address any issues of the individuals supported by Maryhaven
• Sharing expertise regarding relevant trends pertaining to intellectual disabilities and autism with interdisciplinary staff
• Presenting and documenting psychiatric evaluations and screenings
• Serving as a member of the Interdisciplinary Team and other program committees including performance improvement initiatives
• Attending Medication Management Review

Qualifications:

• Board Certified Psychiatrist
• Valid NYS license to practice medicine and current registration with the NYSED
• Maintain in good standing state and federal registrations to prescribe and dispense controlled substances
• Comply with all applicable laws and the requirements of all applicable licensing, accreditation and/or review organizations
