Description

APPLE INC has the following available in Elk Grove, California. Lead major incidents to resolution and deliver projects for Apple’s Manufacturing Data Collection Platform. Oversee the day-to-day operations and incident management of manufacturing data systems within the organization. Ensure the smooth functioning of data collection processes, resolve incidents promptly, and drive continuous improvement in the manufacturing data domain. Lead RCA (root cause analysis), document findings, develop and implement preventive measures to mitigate future occurrences. Analyze incident trends (MTTA, MTTR, support SOPs) and implement proactive strategies to improve system stability and performance. Collaborate with different departments and teams, including vendors and contract manufacturers, to support manufacturing operations – through both addressing the needs of external parties and ensuring they are meeting their contractual commitments. Validate the integrity of manufacturing data and identify areas for data quality improvement. Facilitate large conference calls and meetings across multiple time zones to coordinate incident response and crossfunctional collaboration. Work cross-functionally to identify and document standard methodologies and standard operating procedures related to manufacturing data management. Support the creation and maintenance of SOPs (standard operating procedures) for data collection, workflow tracking and reporting. Analyze platform KPIs (Kibana, Tableau, etc) to identify insights, trends and areas for improvement within manufacturing operations. Collaborate with teams to implement data-driven process improvements and optimize manufacturing data operations. Ensure data completeness, accuracy, and adherence to standard definitions across the manufacturing data ecosystem. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $138,181 - $181,100/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering or related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation.

  • 4 years of experience with each of the following skills is required:

  • Performing incident management, preferably within a manufacturing data or operations environment for big data, cloud-based and containerized solutions.

  • Using knowledge of manufacturing data processes, infrastructure, and key contacts within the supply chain to troubleshoot issues, assess platform performance, and maintain and optimize overall platform health and functionality.

  • Using operation tools for documenting, escalating and reporting on active and closed incidents.

  • Using big data technologies and their application in manufacturing data environments for identifying and optimizing platform inefficiencies.

  • Setting up proactive monitoring and alerts mechanisms to identify issues proactively and minimize disruptions to the business.

  • Performing root cause analysis and implementing permanent solutions to ensure platform minimizes same-fault outages.

  • Leveraging platform analytics, including Kibana, Tableau, AppDynamics, to identify opportunities to increase efficiency and resilience in the platform.
