Apple's Vision Products Group is looking for a driven and dedicated Software Quality Manager with strong managerial and technical skills to mentor and lead a team that develops apps to qualify new and cutting edge Apple technology frameworks. Description

As a Software Quality Manager on our visionOS System Experience QA org, you will be leading a team of highly skilled quality and test automation engineers, collaborating heavily with QA teams across Apple to understand their quality plans for existing features. Your team is in charge of identifying appropriate testing implementations processes and methodologies and messaging overall program quality to leadership at key milestones.

As the owner and driver of key quality metric for functional and application areas, you will collaborate with other teams to drive qualification efforts, process results, draw meaningful conclusions and present impactful data to our leaders and cross functional teams at a regular cadence.

Your vision, analytical and critical thinking skills will be needed to identify enhancements and instruments needed to ensure the user experience across the system meets the Apple Quality bar.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or industry equivalent experience

  • 6+ years of Professional Experience as a Software Engineer or Software Quality Engineer

  • 2+ years of Management Experience

  • Deep understanding of software development lifecycle, methodologies, and standard processes

  • Proven success hiring, developing and building an inclusive team-based culture that strives towards best practices, measurable outcomes, and operational excellence

  • Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills due to the high level of interaction with engineering teams, management, and other organizations within Apple

  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, and a successful history delivering on objectives

  • Strong leadership skills to work with cross functional partners and coordinate test efforts across multiple teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic Understanding of Display Technologies, Rendering Pipeline and Graphics

  • Demonstrated ability in increasing functional test coverage (UI, API).

  • Demonstrated ability in enhancing test frameworks (scalability, reliability).

  • Experience in test automation frameworks that involve HW & SW subsystem.

  • Excellent knowledge of software development lifecycle, test methodologies and tools and, passion for quality processes.

  • Experience or demonstrated ability in working in an automated testing pipeline (integration + system + functional + use case validation) driven by a Continuous Integration framework.

  • Experience with iOS, macOS, watchOS, tvOS or similar operating systems

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $173,100 and $301,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
