DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented School to Work - General Management student to join our team specializing in General Management for our Cummins Inc. facility in Troy, MI.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Daily interaction with cross-functional team including sales, marketing, plant, procurement, engineering to manage key deliverables and further the development and launch of a new product.

• Participate in weekly cross-functional meetings and interface with all internal departments working on projects to keep up to date on project status and ensure timely completion. Manage and maintain the list of all open actions.

• Develop program timing (Gantt chart) that shows overall status for projects and utilize as a communication tool internally and externally.

• Analyze Bill of Materials and simulated cost for different projects.

• Manage program Bill of Materials from design state through engineering to purchasing prototype samples, coordinating testing within Meritor Labs and launching production parts through external and internal suppliers.

• Management of tasks to develop strong problem solving, communication, organization, and leadership skills to meet defined targets.

Education:

• Must be at least 16 years of age.

Current Enrollment: You must be a current student in high school or in a college/university pursuing a degree in Engineering, Business, Supply-Chain, Program Management or a related field.

Experience:

• MS Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint

• Strong problem solving and big picture review capabilities

• Strong written and oral communication skills

• Meet commitments to internal/external customers on time

• Drives for execution excellence

• Self-motivated

Compensation (for United States)

Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The

final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate’s

qualifications and experience, where appropriate.

QUALIFICATIONS
