How will you make an impact in this role?
American Express is seeking a strategic and creative Manager, Communications to support leadership and internal communications for the Enterprise Technology Services team. This role is instrumental in crafting compelling narratives, designing impactful visuals, and supporting high-profile events that engage and inform our global technology workforce. The ideal candidate will be a communications triple-threat—skilled in writing, strategy, and graphic design—with a passion for storytelling, collaboration, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership Communications: Write and edit executive communications including announcements, podcasts, video scripts, speaking points, and strategic updates for the CIO and senior leaders.
Audio & Visual: Knowledge of video and audio production (storyboarding, editing, publishing).
Design & Branding : Create banners, GIFs, and graphics for use across internal channels (Intranet, Slack, email, presentations); implement brand guidelines.
Event Planning : Lead planning for large-scale town halls and site visits, including messaging, presentation design, event space coordination, and production team collaboration.
Analytics & Reporting : Track and analyze communications performance metrics; prepare reports and dashboards for the Office of the CIO.
· Project Management : Manage multiple projects simultaneously with competing timelines and stakeholders across global teams.
Minimum Qualifications
5 years of experience in corporate communications, internal communications, or brand marketing.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
Strong command of Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word).
Experience with intranet/content management systems (Unily preferred).
Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and project management skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
Experience using analytics to inform strategy and measure impact.
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Graphic Design, Marketing, or related field.
· Portfolio (writing and creative) required.
Preferred Qualifications
Content creation and design for the intranet, social media, and newsletters.
Experience planning and executing large-scale events.
Background in communications for a well-known brand or agency.
Familiarity with Slack, Outlook templates, and internal campaign toolkits.
Qualifications
Salary Range: $89,250.00 to $150,250.00 annually bonus benefits
