We are looking for Display Algorithm Engineer to come make a big impact! The Display Intelligence team in the Visual Experience & Incubation organization has worked on display features such as True Tone, ambient light sensor confidence estimator, Auto Brightness, spatial computing display interplay and many other novel features to enable the best front-of-screen user experience. Many new display technologies, specially the emerging Vision Products brings ever evolving challenges in imaging & sensing, requires innovations in signal and image processing, color imaging, and cutting edge machine learning algorithms . The expanding Apple product lines also create exciting opportunities for novel display prototypes and productization to deliver the best ecosystem experience!
We are looking for passionate scientists and engineers that have strong background in signal and image processing, color imaging, and machine learning.
Description
Your daily responsibilities include:
Design and execute data collection experiments
Machine learning algorithm development
Proof-of-concept demo
Generate display feature & calibration engineering requirements and specifications
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or equivalent, 3+ years of experience in imaging or machine learning.
Experience on ML algorithm development
Experience with Python, including familiarity with crucial package such as PyTorch, Tensorflow etc.
Preferred Qualifications
M.S./PhD in Science, Technology, Engineering (e.g. Color and/or Imaging Science, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering ) or equivalent field and 5+ years of relevant experience
Physics-informed ML
Display HW or pipeline experience
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, especially in the communication of technical concepts to a cross-functional team as well as leadership
Proven ability to work collaboratively within a large group of engineers
Demonstrated ability to drive & meet key project targets
Proactive, self-motivated engineer who can take the initiative and lead improvement
Solid image processing background is a plus
Cutting-edge GenAI experience is a plus
Experience on eye tracking is a plus
Experience on medical imaging or health application is a plus
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $147,400 and $272,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
