Join Wireless Technologies and Ecosystems (WTE), a globally recognized organization of engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and develop products used by millions worldwide. Apple’s Wireless Software Engineering team is seeking highly motivated and self-directed engineers to work on cutting-edge 5G/LTE pre-silicon technology. The role involves identifying and developing new IP and creating simulation platforms for software functional verification and architecture exploration.

Description

As part of the WTE pre-silicon team, you’ll collaborate with SOC, SE, and software partners to develop a virtual platform for next-generation cellular and connectivity teams. Your responsibilities include modeling new IPs of cellular SOCs and integrating subsystems. You’ll also be involved in developing new simulation models by reading hardware specifications and using register description files. Additionally, you’ll work on integrating hybrid simulation to create a complete SOC and integrating cycle-accurate CPU models for architecture exploration activities. You’ll collaborate with SW, SOC, and SE teams to understand new hardware deltas and convert them to simulation requirements. Furthermore, you’ll play the role of a pre-silicon architect to define the pre-silicon strategy for the simulation platform.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's/ Master’s degree in Computer Sciences, Electrical and Computer Engineering.

  • 3 - 5 years of experience in SystemC/Virtualizer/Simics development.

  • Solid understanding of CPU subsystems and SOC architecture.

  • Experience in embedded systems/driver development.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in an engineering role.

  • Strong result-driven capabilities, including skills to prioritize, manage risks, maneuver in complex situation, and keep moving things forward.

  • Experience with ISS simulators and co-simulations.

  • Experience in SW bringup on virtual platform and debugging SW/model issues.

  • Creative problem-solving skills.

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $135,400 and $250,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
