Summary
Home PD EPM drives the development, validation, and assembly of mechanical components for new Home products, typically from architecture definition to mass production. This role provides a unique opportunity to combine deep technical expertise with program management skills and leadership level exposure.
Description
Manage the planning and execution of product prototype builds, leading cross-functional teams and external vendors to meet design goals, schedules, and quality requirements. You’ll understand the complexities of product design integration and processes, collaborate with teams to facilitate feedback through the internal design review process. Maintain good communication and provide multiple levels of status to individual contributors and executive management.
Minimum Qualifications
BS degree in Engineering required; Mechanical Engineering preferred
3+ years of experience in program management or mechanical engineering design in product development
Excellent communication, presentation, organizational, and leadership skills
Preferred Qualifications
Strong technical background in EE or ME. Masters in Engineering is a plus.
Knowledge of product development processes and manufacturing fundamentals; prior experience with metal stamping, forging, machining (CNC), die casting, plastic injection molding, and MIM highly desirable
Experience delivering products comprised of multiple materials with high aesthetic quality requirements
Strong attention to detail with the ability to effectively manage complex design strategies
Ability to manage complex build matrices and build planning through complex schedules
Experience interfacing with cross-functional teams including Mechanical Engineering and Design, Systems Engineering, Reliability, Operations, and Marketing
Self-motivated and proactive with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities
Remains flexible and calm in the face of rapid development cycles, uncertainty, and shifting priorities
Ability to travel internationally to support builds.
