We are looking for a Software QA Manager to help ensure our Health experience is rock-solid and customer-focused. We're looking for an empathetic people leader who thinks critically and would like to play a key role in the development and shipping of critical software and the frameworks that support it during all stages of software development. This team expects and encourage engineering excellence and we practice nimble, fast-paced development that relies heavily on a tight relationship between Development, Project Management, and QA.
Description
As a key leader on the team, you’ll have the opportunity to have a direct hand in crafting the next advancements in Apple’s health software ecosystem. We work on the Health app—a platform for Health and Fitness efforts across Apple—as well as the Research App and related features and experiences that broaden the definition of what our platform can do. You will work with experienced engineers, designers, and medical experts to architect features that delight users as well as form a solid technical foundation for future development. In this position, you will need to be self-directed, creative, and comfortable with change and ambiguity. Excellent engineering, collaboration, and leadership skills are all essential.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of five years of experience working in Software Quality Assurance required
Minimum of two years recent experience working as a Software Quality Assurance lead or manager required
Track record demonstrating the ability to build a diverse and strong team – attracting, hiring, retaining, motivating the best talent
Ability to understand and break down large features into manageable pieces
Comfort driving through various constraints and ambiguity on difficult problems to make sound decisions
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to facilitate close interaction with development teams, management, and other organizations within Apple
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent work experience
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated passion for developing great user experiences
Highly organized, someone who thrives working in a fast-paced environment, and loves learning new technologies
Track record of testing and shipping high quality apps or frameworks
Experience leading and developing a team in a cross-functional environment
A passion for health and health-related technology
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $176,600 and $313,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
