DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Electrician – Level III (2 nd Shift) to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Cummins Inc. facility in Mineral Point, WI.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Strong Decision-Making Skills : Make timely, well-informed decisions that keep operations efficient and aligned with business goals, especially when troubleshooting or prioritizing tasks.

  • Commitment to Health and Safety : Champion a proactive safety culture by identifying hazards, using proper PPE, and modeling safe behaviors to help build an injury-free workplace.

  • Expertise in Electrical and Control Systems : Troubleshoot and repair complex electrical systems and recognize hazards in electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic controls to ensure safe and effective operations.

  • Proficiency in Automation and Programming : Implement and optimize factory automation systems and machine programming to enhance productivity, reduce manual errors, and support continuous improvement.

  • Solid Manufacturing Knowledge : Apply your understanding of manufacturing processes to implement effective changes, support uptime, and contribute to quality and efficiency improvements.

Education/Experience

  • High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

  • Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

Additional Information

  • Preventative maintenance on electrical components

  • Perform a variety of electrical installation and maintenance work on plant electrical system and equipment

  • Lay out and install wiring circuits and distribution centers in accordance with specifications

  • Install switches, controls and other electronic devices incidental to the installation

  • Diagnose and remedy troubles, repair and replace equipment and apparatus

  • Work from schematic drawings and diagrams, specifications and code book

  • Use electrical measuring and testing devices

  • Troubleshooting of welding equipment and weld controls as well as variable speed motor drives, PLC’s servo systems, robotics and other metal fabricating equipment

  • Ability to work efficiently and handle multiple tasks
