Description

Apple is seeking a highly skilled and experienced attorney to join our team as a Senior Counsel in the Marketing and Communications Legal Group. In this role, you will be the lead marketing legal counsel for key Apple services, including iCloud, Maps, News, Books, Podcasts, Arcade, and the App Store. You will also serve as production counsel for the engagement of voice talent within Apple's AI Studios, our in-house team focused on innovative AI-powered experiences like Siri. Your responsibilities will include drafting, negotiating, and reviewing a wide range of production and marketing agreements, establishing legal policies, and advising on all marketing and publicity matters within your portfolio. You will also provide legal support for social media and Corporate Communications initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience practicing law at a technology company, commercial agency, entertainment studio, and/or law firm.

  • Significant experience with marketing legal issues, along with a production legal background in commercial, entertainment, industrial and/or instructional audio-visual productions.

  • JD degree or equivalent and admission to at least one US state bar.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Expertise in negotiating and drafting a wide range of production agreements, including those for the engagement of vendors, talent, and agencies.

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.

  • Strong understanding of marketing law, consumer protection regulations, IP legal issues, and social media regulations.

  • Experience working with international legal frameworks and advising on cross-border marketing campaigns.

  • Proven ability to identify and assess legal risks associated with commercial productions and to develop effective mitigation strategies.

  • History of developing and delivering training programs to business partners on legal topics.

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage a high volume of projects.

  • Desire to contribute to the growth and development of a legal team undergoing transition.

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $230,500 and $346,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
