The ASE Compliance organization has an immediate opening for a compliance automation engineer to help build and grow a global cloud services governance, risk management and compliance program, ensuring we meet our legal and regulatory obligations, while safeguarding the systems that millions of our users rely on every day. This is a hands-on role where you will build tools in partnership with ASE compliance engineers to solve Apple’s unique compliance problems at scale.
Description
The ASE Compliance engineering organization provides compliance support to the Services product teams (e.g. App Store, Apple Music, iCloud, AppleTV+) as well as Apple’s internal cloud platform. As a compliance automation engineer, you will be responsible for identifying, designing, and implementing automation opportunities to streamline core compliance processes and driving down audit risk. This is a highly collaborative role that requires close partnership with both the compliance engineers and the broader ASE engineering organization in order to build solutions that can operate at Apple’s enormous scale.
Minimum Qualifications
7+ years of experience developing software or automation
Strong software development skills in Python, Java, or Scala.
Ability to solicit requirements from end users and design software solutions to address those requirements using modern architectural practices
Track record of delivering automation solutions, ideally to address security or compliance problems
Understanding of modern SDLC processes and tools and the ability to build an end-to-end SDLC pipeline in order to reliably deploy and manage software solutions
Preferred Qualifications
Experience leveraging emerging AI technologies or strong commitment to learn
Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment and work on multiple unrelated topics in any given week
Ability to develop relationships and work effectively with different teams at all levels and across functions relative to technical, policy, and business concerns
Computer science or engineering degree is helpful, but not required.
