Description
APPLE INC has the following available in Seattle, Washington. Define vision and strategic plans for developing and maintaining software applications, cloud services, and data pipelines to support Apple systems. Own multi-functional and cross-organizational programs as the “directly responsible individual”. Partner with leaders and engineers to influence and define execution plans. Foster a collaborative culture of excellence across Apple. Design and evaluate software and infrastructure architectures. Create prototypes and/or proof of concepts to demonstrate that a proposed solution would work. Mentor junior engineers and technical leaders. Conduct research on industry landscape and technology developments. Author technical reports and presentations for audiences at varying levels of the organization. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $212,202 - $302,200yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Applied Mathematics, Information Technology, or a related field and 5 years of progressive in the job offered or related occupation.
5 years of experience with each of the following skills is required:
Leading and delivering complex projects with multiple cross-functional technical and business collaborators spanning different teams.
Developing software that meets functional and user experience requirements
Mentoring other software engineers.
Using modern object-oriented languages including Python, Go, Java, JavaScript, Rust, Swift, or Objective-C.
Writing automated unit, integration, and acceptance tests, and using continuous integration systems.
Writing, debugging, and maintaining application and operating system code for mobile and embedded devices.
2 years of experience with each of the following skills is required:
Designing, building, and maintaining Unix-based, scalable distributed or cloud-based business systems (AWS, GCP, or Azure; applications using three or more dependent services).
Creating and maintaining high-performance, scalable data pipelines that prepare data for training machine learning models.
Designing and implementing efficient and extensible network protocols and API servers used for mobile devices to communicate with cloud-based applications.
