Description
Apple’s Edge Services team is currently seeking an engineering manager to lead a team responsible for building and managing DNS and GSLB solutions for millions of users globally. The manager’s primary focus will be on ensuring optimal service uptimes, scalability, security, and performance. By driving technological innovations, they will play a pivotal role in supporting the evolving needs of our users.
Minimum Qualifications
8+ years experience with Linux systems and networking technologies
5+ years experience managing and/or leading a Systems Engineering team
Experience with DNS, Bind, NSD, Unbound, including BGP, DNS, TCP/IP, load balancing, and routing protocols
Strong automation skills along with deep knowledge of infrastructure tooling
Experience leading large-scale infrastructure deployments in an automated scalable way (GIT, CI/CD Tools, Jenkins, Artifactory, Puppet, Chef, SaltStack etc).
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, an engineering-related field, or equivalent related experience
Excellent organizational skills and adaptive approach to problem-solving
Experience with budget planning, forecasting and tracking of Operations and Capital budgets
Ability to think globally/creatively, turn information into effective processes, and drive results
Proven track record to encourage, mentor, and develop team members
Experience working with teams on a global scale with strong communication and multi-functional collaboration skills
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $190,700 and $329,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
