We are the Product System Quality - Vision team, and we are looking for a highly motivated and passionate Engineer, with strong communication, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail. As a Quality Engineer, you will have a significant impact on helping to deliver functional and stable Apple Vision Pro experience to millions of customers in a fast-paced environment.

We are a group of diverse-minded systems QA engineers, responsible for driving integrated system testing with an emphasis on hardware-centric software risks and new software features for new/existing devices and their accessories. You will join a dynamic and curious group of people and our testing demands thinking out of the box, ranging from customer usage scenario research to designing complicated test procedures around it.

Description

As Systems Quality Engineer, you will drive quality subjectively and objectively for features that integrate aspects of software, hardware and customer centered ecosystem scenario. Using data and your drive for quality, you'll advocate for fixes and coordinate with engineers across Apple to improve and maintain quality on new and upcoming releases.

Responsibilities:

  • Research user scenarios and follow up with developing, modifying, and running tests for validation of software-hardware features.

  • Work closely with development teams, to identify and understand key features and shipping criteria.

  • Collaborate with team members, global labs & cross-functional groups to identify risk areas, develop testing around them

  • Assess subjective vs objective tests and work with area experts in team to create automated approach of validation

  • Report and represent QA concerns in cross-functional meetings and to management.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in an Engineering Field

  • 3 years of Quality Assurance or System Test experience

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Sufficient knowledge of tools (like Python, Tableau, Excel, Numbers or other equivalent) necessary for strong data analysis.

  • Experience driving and closing quality issues by working with cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Coding or scripting experience

  • Familiarity with AR/VR concepts and usage of AI tools

  • Demonstrates QA skills with at least 2 complete system product cycles

  • Quality assurance experience preferably on consumer electronics. Testing experience with mobile devices is a plus.

  • Detail oriented and organized with a strong discipline of adhering to standards

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $122,800 and $223,900, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
