The Edge Engineering team provides software engineering services which operates Edge Infrastructure for Apple. Our Edge infrastructure supports content distribution for Apple's installed base of devices and the related services that are used by more than a billion people.
Description
We’re looking for a software engineer with a unique blend of experience and interest in systems, architecture, network and software development practices. You will be part of a forward-thinking and dynamic team responsible for supporting Apple’s Edge Infrastructure. Our team is responsible for systems which configure the Edge for Apple.
Minimum Qualifications
BS in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent job-related experience
5+ years of software development experience with languages such as Go, Rust, C++, Swift, etc
Preferred Qualifications
A passion for solving complex problems at scale and driving technical innovation.
Experience with domain-specific languages (DSLs), versioned and compatibility of configurations, interpreter concepts, and configuration developer tools.
Knowledge of networking protocols like HTTP, TLS, or TCP/IP.
OpenAPI, gRPC/Protobuf, Terraform/OpenTofu
Experience deploying and managing applications on Kubernetes such as Helm, Pulumi, Flux
Familiarity with proxy systems such as NGINX or Envoy.
