About Global Real Estate and Workplace Experience (GREWE)

Global Real Estate and Workplace Experience (GREWE) is the global team at American Express (Amex) responsible for the full lifecycle of planning, execution, and operations of Amex real estate. GREWE supports over 65,000 Amex colleagues and contractors in over eight million square feet of property located in 41 countries. Our real estate portfolio consists of large full-service campuses, office buildings, sales offices, and airport lounges. The sites may be owned, leased, or be occupied through a serviced space arrangement. Real estate is part of the broader Global Servicing Group organization which delivers shared business services to colleagues across the enterprise.

How will you make an impact in this role?

  • Develop, implement, and maintain corporate governance frameworks, charters, and committee structures.

  • Monitor and advise on compliance with corporate governance requirements.

  • Conduct regular reviews of governance processes to ensure effectiveness and alignment with organizational goals.

  • Coordinate ad hoc governance reviews and performance evaluations as needed

  • Lead the development, review, and implementation of organizational policies and procedures.

  • Maintain a centralized policy repository and oversee policy version control and communication.

  • Collaborate with business units to ensure policies are effectively implemented and understood.

  • Partner with risk and compliance teams to align governance activities with the organization’s risk management framework.

  • Monitor compliance with internal and external governance and policy obligations.

  • Prepare reports and recommendations on governance and policy matters

  • Support strategic initiatives that enhance corporate governance maturity and organizational performance.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal skills and problem-solving ability

  • Results-driven and proactive

  • Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills

  • Strong organizational, management, and supervisory skills

  • Demonstrated ability to develop successful relationships with and influence customers, both internal and external.

  • Strong understanding of performance metrics, quality systems, and procurement processes

  • Bachelor's Degree Required

  • Up to 10% Travel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma or continuous improvement methodologies a plus

  • Proficient in data analysis and supplier performance tracking tools (Vantage, Tableau, Power BI)

  • Experience in matrix management organization desirable

Salary Range: $89,250.00 to $150,250.00 annually bonus benefits
