Description
APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Enabling and building additional features to the App Intents Framework used by both 1st party and 3rd party iOS, macOS, tvOS, watchOS, and visionOS applications; Enhancing existing functionality of features in the App Intents Framework and supporting backwards compatibility of applications already using the framework; Identifying bugs and concerns in internal and customer OS builds on all platforms and filing the necessary tickets with detailed diagnosis for comprehensive problem-solving; Collaborating with client teams via meetings and asynchronous communication that are dependent on the App Intents framework as it relates to additional feature requests and addressing API concerns; Fixing regressions caused in OS builds and continuous monitoring throughout the change integration process into newer builds with detailed testing; Prioritizing and sorting of bugs into the appropriate milestones and categories internally and cross-functionally; Rapid prototyping of new features and giving presentations as necessary to leadership for alignment and support; Building and maintaining system frameworks enabling Apple Intelligence features on vision OS; and Collaborating with Developer Publications to properly convey App Intents API usage details to third-party developers. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $149,365 - $220,900/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or related field.
Experience and/or education must include:
Using C, C++, Objective-C, or Swift for software development.
Using computer science principles for memory management, for application to API implementation.
Utilizing software performance analysis tools such as Instruments or dtrace for optimizing software runtime performance.
Developing software using Xcode for iOS or macOS platforms.
Applying software development patterns, algorithms, and data structures to software engineering.
Utilizing Github or Bitbucket for source management and code reviews.
Debugging with lldb or gdb for identifying and fixing software bugs.
Translating design requirements into functional specifications.
Using continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to ensure that software changes are integrated and deployed correctly to shipping software.
