Apple is where individual imaginations gather together, committing to the values that lead to great work. Every new product we build, service we create, or Apple Store experience we deliver is the result of us making each other’s ideas stronger. That happens because every one of us shares a belief that we can make something wonderful and share it with the world, changing lives for the better. It’s the diversity of our people and their thinking that inspires the innovation that runs through everything we do. When we bring everybody in, we can do the best work of our lives. Here, you’ll do more than join something — you’ll add something.

Join the Siri Attention and Invocation team and play a part in the next revolution of Siri interaction. We are a group of engineers dedicated to making Siri an exceptional conversational partner and an attentive listener, focusing on innovative multimodal machine learning solutions that enhance user experiences across Apple's entire device ecosystem. You'll collaborate with software engineers, machine learning engineers, and scientists across technical areas spanning the full range of Siri's capabilities. At Apple, individual imaginations come together to create something wonderful and share it with the world, changing lives for the better. Here, you'll do more than join something—you'll contribute something meaningful to technology that helps millions of people get things done, just by asking.

We are seeking a Software Triage Engineer who is passionate about problem-solving and curious about how the Siri software stack enables natural user interactions. You will screen and triage critical software issues related to conversational interactions with Siri.

Description

As a Software Triage Engineer on the Siri Attention and Invocation team, you will serve as the first line of defense for Siri's conversational quality. You will investigate complex software issues that impact how users naturally interact with Siri, analyzing issues across multiple software stacks, machine learning models, and device integrations.

Your role combines technical detective work with systematic problem-solving. You'll analyze system logs to understand issues, identify root causes of failures, and determine whether problems stem from software bugs, model performance, or integration issues. Beyond immediate triage, you will develop automation tools to streamline future investigations and have the opportunity to leverage generative AI technology to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of your triage process.

This position requires someone who thrives on solving puzzles and has genuine curiosity about how complex AI systems work in practice. Your work will directly impact the reliability and user experience of Siri across iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, AirPods, Apple TV, HomePod, and Apple Vision Pro.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Experience with debugging and log analysis

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in software issue investigation, bug triage, or quality assurance roles

  • Knowledge of iOS/macOS development environments and Apple device ecosystem

  • Experience with machine learning systems, AI technologies, or voice assistants
