Description

APPLE INC has the following available in Seattle, Washington. Design, develop, maintain and support highly scalable data services and pipelines. Design, develop and implement scalable services that can receive events from various services and apps and publish them to internal pub/sub mechanisms including Kafka or Redis. Write consumer services that can process and store data into big data storage systems like S3 or HDFS. Design, develop and deploy systems and algorithms that process large data sets. Responsible for writing highly performant/efficient and scalable systems and applications using technologies including Spark/Flink to process large amounts of data stored in HDFS/S3. Develop and implement efficient, scalable and observable applications and services using technologies including Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Flink, Kubernetes, AWS, Postgres. Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to deliver scalable, robust, and high-performance systems. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $201,300 - $302,200/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Technology, Computer Science, or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.

  • 3 years of experience with each of the following skills is required:

  • Utilizing Apache Spark to write the data pipelines to create datasets that will be used by other data pipelines and feed business critical reports.

  • Using Java to write microservices and Apache Spark jobs.

  • Utilizing Python to write tools and web UIs that support the data platform.

  • Using Apache Flink to process real time data flowing through systems and updating real time analytical and operation data stores and dashboards.

  • Utilizing Postgresql to store all the metadata and other configuration information required for pipelines and services to run.

  • Using Apache Kafka to publish and store events from apps and services.

  • Using Redis to store and retrieve data in a fast and efficient manner.

  • Utilizing Kubernetes as a container management system for deploying and running microservices and other applications
