We are looking for an IP-litigator with standards and competition law experience to help develop and execute strategic approaches for navigating the IP aspects of platform regulation and litigation matters worldwide. You must have outstanding initiative, judgment, and written and verbal communication skills. You will be a self-starter who can quickly come up to speed on the global regulatory and litigation landscape, learn Apple’s practices, identify, and manage risks and exposures, and find strategic opportunities to improve outcomes.

Description

As a member of Apple’s IP Law, Licensing & Litigation team, you will be directly engaged in formulating and driving strategy as well as providing counsel to internal clients at the interface of IP and competition law. The position requires a high degree of self-sufficiency, independent judgment, and a results-oriented approach. You will operate as part of a supportive team focused on cross-functional collaboration within Apple to preserve Apple’s differentiation, align advocacy, and advise on IP matters involving competition considerations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 8+ years’ experience (at a major law firm and/or in-house) in IP litigation, including experience on standard essential patent litigation matters.

  • Experience (at a major law firm and/or in-house) in competition litigation or regulatory matters.

  • JD or equivalent and admission to at least one US state bar.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent communication, analytical, organizational, and negotiation skills.

  • Collaborative team player with a client-focused approach.

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $199,700 and $299,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
