AppleCare Service Quality & Technology is a global organization seeking a talented and driven Quality Engineer to help drive exceptional performance and reliability of Apple’s products. The ideal candidate is a strong technical leader who excels in cross-functional collaboration and thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Description
The AppleCare Quality Engineer is responsible for managing and improving quality across assigned products. Key responsibilities include the following:
Identify and drive field product quality improvement opportunities - including improvements to triage processes, diagnostics and warranty abuse capabilities
Track field quality metrics such as annual failure rates, no trouble found rates, service cost, and repeat-repair
Support initiatives that improve field and service product quality and reduce cost
Play a key role in new product launch early field failure analysis (EFFA) and action planning
Support the development of NPI product service quality plans
Work cross-functionally with quality and engineering teams to improve overall field product quality
Support regular quality reviews that focus on performance trends, quality issues, and corrective actions
Measure and optimize the accuracy and effectiveness of field service diagnostic tools
Support Product Engineering and quality investigations as required
Travel up to 10%
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of 8 years of product quality, service, and project management experience
Lean Six Sigma, ASQ certification or equivalent quality certifications
BS in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering
Preferred Qualifications
Experience operating, troubleshooting, and repairing Apple products
MS or MBA
