AppleCare Technologies Compliance team is looking for an enthusiastic, technically skilled and passionate Data Privacy Project Manager to champion privacy compliance across global teams. You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring AppleCare’s adherence to global privacy laws by conducting risk assessments, crafting internal policies and guiding teams on best practices for data handling. This is a high-impact opportunity to shape AppleCare’s privacy framework and serve as the primary point of contact for privacy initiatives worldwide.

Description

You will act as a liaison between AppleCare, Data Privacy and other departments within AppleCare to ensure business projects and processes needs are adequately met while remaining compliant.
Responsibilities include:
In partnership with various Org Specific DRIs and privacy legal teams, the Privacy PM will be responsible for providing guidance to teams ensuring Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs), Legitimate Interest Assessments (LIAs), Secondary Use Data Requests, and Record of Processing records (ROPs) are filed correctly.

Drive Data Privacy activities with Business owners to achieve and maintain compliance with current and upcoming laws.

Coordinating efforts to implement changes stemming from regulatory investigations or internal audits.

Drive and own Data Privacy critical issues.

Responsible to maintain Functional Radar management and a global repository system for AC systems and processes.

Direct and lead Data Privacy project activities from project inception to final implementation and review.

Help investigate and support legal teams with responding to regulatory inquiries.
Develop the required project documentation throughout the lifecycle of the project, according to AC Technologies project standards and methodologies.

Effectively communicate all elements of project expectations and project status to team members and partners in a timely and clear fashion.

Prioritize and delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel and team members.
Identify and resolve issues and conflicts as they arise across all areas of projects.

Identify and manage project dependencies and key critical path elements.

Plan, schedule and track project timelines, landmarks and deliverables using appropriate tools.
Proactively lead changes in project scope, success criteria and business objectives throughout the project lifecycle, devising contingency and recovery plans while effectively disseminating these plans to interested parties.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5-8 years of Project Management experience with extensive knowledge of project management methodology is desired.

  • Data Privacy and/or Compliance experience.

  • Good understanding of the legal framework and legislative processes.

  • Previous exposure to running medium to large size, global/cross-functional projects while working to strict timelines.

  • Extensive proven knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management with considerable experience in multiple project management techniques and tools.

  • Ability to understand technical issues to include end to end complex systems landscape on projects.

  • Able to deal with ambiguity.

  • Proficient at running multiple high priority efforts simultaneously.

  • Excellent relationship building and leadership skills.

  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills with strong attention to detail.

  • Exposure to facilitating brainstorming sessions to gather requirements and knowledge of performing robust business process analysis and solution recommendations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Privacy is preferred.

  • Fluency in English with other European languages a plus.

  • Literacy with business applications SAP, GSX, iLog, CAS etc. is a strongly preferred.
