Job Description
Description
At American Express, our culture is built on a 175-year history of innovation, shared values and Leadership Behaviors, and an unwavering commitment to back our customers, communities, and colleagues. From delivering differentiated products to providing world-class customer service, we operate with a strong risk mindset, ensuring we continue to uphold our brand promise of trust, security, and service.
As part of Team Amex, you'll experience this powerful backing with comprehensive support for your holistic well-being and many opportunities to learn new skills, develop as a leader, and grow your career. Here, your voice and ideas matter, your work makes an impact, and together, you will help us define the future of American Express.
How will you make an impact in this role?
Resy is seeking a Principal Product Manager to define and lead our strategy for agentic, AI-driven consumer partner experiences. This role sits at the forefront of a fundamental shift in how people discover, evaluate, and book restaurants — one where intent is increasingly expressed through AI-native interfaces, and where the products that win will be the ones that show up intelligently, seamlessly, and memorably wherever that intent lives.
This is a 0 to 1 leadership role for a senior IC who thrives in ambiguity, moves with conviction, and brings rare clarity to spaces where the rules haven't been written yet. You will set vision, drive execution, and continuously adapt as capabilities, user behaviors, and platform dynamics evolve in real time. You will operate with high autonomy, influence senior leadership, and help define a new paradigm for how Resy shows up in the world.
You’ll work across product, engineering, design, data, and partnerships to:
Own How Resy Shows Up in Agentic Channels: Define the strategy, UX patterns, and quality bar for how diners discover and book with Resy within agentic partner experiences
Build the Data Foundation for Agentic Performance: Partner with Engineering on the data structures, schemas, and APIs that make Resy's content easy for agents to reason about, ensuring Resy shows up accurately and performantly in the moments that matter
Partner Closely with BD and Partnerships: Work hand in hand with Business Development to identify, prioritize, and unlock agentic channel opportunities and translate partnership agreements into product reality
Translate Behavioral Shifts into Product Direction: Stay ahead of how user intent is evolving in AI-native contexts and turn ambiguous signals into clear, compelling product bets
Shape Organizational Thinking: Be the internal authority on agentic channel experiences and bring leadership along with clarity and conviction
Minimum Requirements
8 years of product management experience, including ownership of large, ambiguous product areas where the path forward was yours to define
Proven track record of leading 0 to 1 products that created real, measurable value in new categories or surfaces
Deep understanding of AI and agentic systems: how LLM-driven experiences interpret and act on user intent, and how to build products that work with that grain rather than against it
Strong consumer product sense across search, discovery, and decision-making experiences where reducing friction and increasing confidence are the core design challenges
Highly technical: comfortable with system design, APIs, data models, and platform tradeoffs without needing things translated for you, and hands-on with modern tools (e.g. Cursor, Bolt, Claude Code) to prototype and pressure-test ideas quickly
Influential communicator who can align teams and executives around a vision that is still coming into focus.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with MCP or similar agent interoperability frameworks.
Background in marketplaces, local discovery, or consumer platforms.
Familiarity with conversational UX, agent orchestration, or retrieval-based systems.
Experience building developer platforms or extensibility layers.
Strong experimentation background in emerging or undefined interaction models.
Qualifications
Salary Range: $144,250.00 to $256,250.00 annually bonus equity (if applicable) benefits
The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we’ll consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.
We back you with benefits that support your holistic well-being so you can be and deliver your best. This means caring for you and your loved ones' physical, financial, and mental health, as well as providing the flexibility you need to thrive personally and professionally:
