At American Express, our culture is built on a 175-year history of innovation, shared values and Leadership Behaviors, and an unwavering commitment to back our customers, communities, and colleagues. As part of Team Amex, you'll experience this powerful backing with comprehensive support for your holistic well-being and many opportunities to learn new skills, develop as a leader, and grow your career.

Here, your voice and ideas matter, your work makes an impact, and together, you will help us define the future of American Express.

Resy is the American Express global dining platform. Our mission is to power the world’s best restaurants, using technology to imagine the future of hospitality.

Our customers discover the amazing world of restaurants thanks to our content-rich website and innovative mobile app. Our diners are insiders, and we love having them at the table.

We’re hiring, too. Interested in joining our team of restaurant-obsessed explorers? Right this way.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking a Sales Manager to lead our New York regional sales team, one of Resy’s highest-priority and most competitive geographies. You’ll manage a team of both field and inside sellers focused on acquiring top-tier restaurants across NYC’s five boroughs and surrounding areas.

This role requires a hands-on, data-driven leader with a proven ability to coach talent, execute GTM strategy, and drive measurable results in a dynamic market. You’ll partner cross-functionally with Strategic Partnerships, Customer Success, Marketing, Product, Implementation, and Revenue Operations to ensure we win the right accounts, tell the right stories, and continue to grow Resy’s market leadership in New York.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a diverse team of quota-carrying Account Executives (field and inside) to exceed monthly and quarterly revenue targets.

  • Drive regional GTM execution aligned with Resy’s NYC strategy, ensuring full coverage of territory, vertical, and partner opportunity.

  • Forecast pipeline, manage performance, and run structured sales cadences—balancing near-term bookings with long-term market positioning.

  • Coach team members on discovery, pitching, objection handling, and product/industry fluency.

  • Ensure consistent execution of prospecting activities including cold calling, email outreach, drop-ins, and referral generation.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to:

  • Launch hyperlocal campaigns targeting high-value neighborhoods and hospitality groups

  • Tailor product storytelling to fit needs of various restaurant styles (Michelin star, casual, critically acclaimed)

  • Identify blockers and product opportunities based on field learning

  • Champion a high-performance culture rooted in accountability, resilience, and hospitality-first thinking.

WHO YOU ARE:

  • 5 years of B2B sales experience, ideally in SaaS or tech-enabled services.

  • At least 2 years in sales leadership or management.

  • Deep knowledge of sales pipeline management, forecasting, and sales methodologies (e.g., MEDDIC, Sandler, Challenger).

  • Proven success in hiring, ramping, and coaching AEs.

  • Experience working with SMBs and mid-market businesses, ideally in geo-assigned territories.

  • You are data-literate, emotionally intelligent, and performance-driven.

  • You model resilience, clarity, and coaching mindset—especially through change.

  • Experience using Salesforce, Outreach, and similar tools for team and deal management.

  • Plus is strong understanding of the restaurant ecosystem, including operational, financial, and service-oriented decision-making.
