Description
APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine the feasibility of design within time and cost constraints, using software development knowledge like system design and programming patterns. Design, develop, and modify software systems using programming languages including C/C++/ObjectiveC/Swift. Utilize scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure the outcomes and consequences of design. Develop and direct software system testing on different types of Apple hardware devices, and validation procedures, programming, and documentation. Modify existing software to correct errors, allow it to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance. Confer with engineers, programmers and others to design system and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces. Author functional unit and integration tests for corresponding software features to prevent regressions. Write technical documentation for corresponding software features and API using documentation frameworks such as Doxygen.
40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $147,713 - $214,500/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or related field.
Experience and/or education must include:
Developing Augmented Reality systems to interact with real world data
Using C/C++ software development to develop core framework functionality
Experience applying computer architecture knowledge and principles for optimizing code performance
Using stash and GitHub for GIT-based workflows to develop code
Using 3D Graphics stack and linear algebra to develop 3d software features
Debugging software and graphics related software problems
Designing simple and secure API layers for code development
Writing software routines for cross process communication and network synchronization
Developing unit tests using common testing frameworks to ensure software reliability
