Software Development Engineer in Test Whippany

As a Barclays Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), you will be responsible for coordinating with all teams across Barclays Digital US Consumer Bank (USCB) Flows. You will validate the functionality from the customer view from account origination, fulfillment and servicing to regulatory and compliance aspects and also emphasis on the customer experience-based journeys. You will extend and complement the functional testing performed by application scrum teams.

What will you be doing?

• Customizing testing, designing testing strategies and modern testing frameworks / models, acting as advocate for coverage, quality engineering practices and automation • Participating in test strategy formulation with developers, including decomposition of business and technical requirements into test case scenarios • Defining test data requirements and providing advice regarding test case creation, contingency plans, and other preparation activities • Driving exploratory testing and test automation covering key practice areas including Native Mobile Apps, web, and API testing • Creating, shaping, and monitoring test plans for scalability, security, functionality, and usability for successful code deployment • Working within large collaborative teams to achieve organization goals and work towards building innovative culture • Conducting analyses to determine software integration needs and analyze, test, and assist with integration of new application • Collaborating with Quality Assurance team and Project stakeholders to assess specifications / technical requirements, and identifying products / technical requirements

What we’re looking for:

• Expert knowledge of Java, JavaScript, XCUITest, and Expresso to execute automation scripts • Working knowledge of Selenium, Appium, TestNG, Unix and Cypress to develop and run automation scripts • Practical experience in analyzing the issue and document the steps. • Develop the QE Framework from scratch for automation.
