DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented On-Site Product Test Mechanical Tech - Level IV to join our team specializing in Engineering for our facility in Mt. Vernon, WA.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Building and repairing test articles and equipment – Ensuring precise test preparation that enables reliable performance analysis and supports engineering validation.

  • Executing and improving test methods – Performing rigorous tests while driving enhancements to setup techniques that increase accuracy, efficiency, and repeatability.

  • Collaborating with performance engineers – Co-developing measurement techniques and managing test issue resolution to streamline testing and improve system understanding.

  • Leading data analysis and reporting efforts – Documenting system evaluations, teardown findings, and calibration reviews in detailed technical reports to support decision-making.

  • Driving root cause investigations – Participating in Failure Mode Effects Analysis and problem-solving teams to identify and resolve issues impacting performance and reliability.

  • Managing program logistics – Coordinating the scheduling, tracking, and supply chain elements of testing programs to keep workflows aligned and on time.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma, certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience in an appropriate STEM field is required.

Regionally applicable certification or two year Associates Degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant field of study may be required.

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

Additional Information:

On-site position at the PACCAR Technical Center (Mount Vernon, WA), working with Cummins and PACCAR engineers / technicians on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform troubleshooting and repair / upfit engine parts as needed

  • Drive trucks for performance evaluation, data collection

  • Use of Calterm/Guidanz/PCAN Explorer to log data/diagnose issues and collaborate with Cummins engineers to diagnose and resolve issues

Technical Customer Management : Able to collaborate and appropriately communicate with OEM stakeholders on a daily basis.

Proactive in resolving issues and finding work / tasks

Flexibility to adjust to shifting priorities and work

CDL or willingness to acquire

Occasional domestic travel (< 10%)

Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate’s qualifications and experience, where appropriate.
