Description

APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Develop Large Language Model playground for designers and prototypers by implementing Swift UI-based Large Language Model (LLM) prompt editing application on iPadOS and connecting to Apple's internal LLM server infrastructure. Interface with the on-device Automatic Speech Recognition engine to feed conversation, transcripts to the LLM, support barge-in, and using the Text-To-Speech engine for the output part of the tool. Leverage specialized knowledge of Apple's internal Large Language Model by enabling the implementation of Apple's internal LLM server infrastructure, while knowledge of Apple's internal Speech Application Programming Interfaces was used to enable Automatic Speech Recognition engines. Deliver large language model-based video navigation prototype by designing the Siri and voice experience for 3LLM-based video navigation features. Engineer LLM prompts in support of LLM-based video navigation features, connecting the prototype to Apple's internal speech APls so as to deliver a fluid experience. Leverage specialized knowledge of voice experience prototyping, Apple's Large Language Model server, and Internal Speech Application Programming Interfaces. Design Siri reply policies for announce messages on AirPods by designing and implementing a configurable application simulating various announce messages behaviors. Connect with Apple speech APIs and Evaluate support for barge-in functionality. Analyze Large Language Model-based news; and integrates with Apple's internal Large Language Model to enable browsing news articles. Leverage Apple's internal speech APls for voice input and output. Implement the vocal and visual user interface with an emphasis on fluid conversation and animations. Work on Internal Speech Application Programming Interfaces, and Voice Experience Prototyping. Research fluid conversation for new products by developing application simulating an upcoming product and its new user interface, paradigm and implements the multi modal aspects of the experience. Software engineering the corresponding animation behaviors. Interface Apple's Internal Speech Application Programming Interfaces, and Voice Experience Prototyping. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $147,400 - $220,900/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 1 year of experience in the job offered or related occupation.

• 1 year of experience with each of the following skills is required:

• Designing and implementing voice-driven experiences on devices.

• Using Swift and JavaScript to program interactive prototypes.

• Utilizing Large Language Models to develop conversational interfaces.

• Leveraging iOS/iPadOS/macOS/watchOS speech Application Programming Interfaces to add voice input (ASR) and output (TTS) capabilities to software projects.

• Managing source code through GitHub.

• Translating design requirements into code by architecting the software and developing the required algorithms.

• Devising the technical approach to prototype a given use case or functionality.

• Delivering tools in Swift that speedup generative AI-based project development.
