Summary
The Product Design labs team serve as a hub where designers, engineers, and makers collaborate to turn challenges into opportunities. We are involved in every facet of the product life cycle, and we aim to design & deliver the greatest hardware offerings for our customers.
In this role you will work in a hands-on role alongside our product design engineering team to solve complex engineering challenges. You will operate lab equipment, handle and characterize prototype material, and learn about new technologies that can help us develop new products.
Description
The Product Design Lab team works across a wide range of products and you will be an integral part of every part of the design process: from design to assembly, and supporting characterization of new materials. You will be involved in projects that drive key decisions that define future Apple products. This role is ideal for someone wanting to make an impact on future Apple products and combine technical abilities with their creativity to solve complex engineering challenges.
Minimum Qualifications
AA in EE, ME, or CS OR completion of 2+ years at a 4 year university in a similar field, OR 3+ years in relevant work experience
High school diploma required
Experienced with Apple iOS software and hardware
Familiarity with digital productivity tools such as Pages, Numbers and Keynote
Able to drive alignment and results across cross-functional groups
Sufficiently trustworthy to work in a high security lab
Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency with various lab equipment: Instron, Laser prototyping, 3d Printing
Desire to identify and develop skills and technologies that can be used to expand our
solutions offerings to the Product Design Team
