Description

APPLE INC has the following available in Elk Grove, California. Lead multiple large-scale infrastructure projects involving hardware and software cross-team organizations. Work on various hardware and software infrastructure projects focused on Tech Refresh, Hardware Decommission, and Chaos Testing. Research, design, and develop innovative ways to execute large-scale programs involving large-scale hardware assets. Create new algorithms for hardware Tech Refresh and decommissions. Understand asset management software and the ability to perform data analysis for large-scale data sets. Analyze system-level data such as CPU memory, RAM, and Storage to make an informed decision for programs assigned. Create scripts for automated reports from hardware asset management software. Migrate applications from on-premise to cloud environment. Design and develop highly available, distributed, and scalable enterprise systems. Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies and facilitate conflict resolution within and between teams, focus on top-level objectives, and create a corrective course of action. Develop and lead hardware project schedules while communicating project status to a wide spectrum of individual contributors and executive management. Identify areas of automation and innovate new project management tools. Analyze application architecture to identify single points of failure. Write chaos test cases and perform chaos testing. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $127,933 - $181,100/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation.

  • Experience and/or education must include:

  • Scripting languages: Unix or SQL

  • AIX Operating System

  • Storage Systems: Hitachi, ScaleIO, ISILON, or NetApp

  • Database Technologies: Oracle, Cassandra, Hadoop, Teradata, or Redis

  • Hardware Asset Management

  • Reporting Tools: Tableau

  • Load Balancers: Netscalers and NGINX

  • Cloud Architecture

  • Software Program Management

  • PMP, PMI-ACP, CISSP, or Scrum certification
