DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Warehouse Operator to join our team in Dedham, Massachusetts.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Under direct supervision, follow established procedures and guidelines to receive, handle, store, perform system transactions and dispatch goods in a factory or warehouse.

  • Check for damage and for discrepancies between goods and invoices.

  • Accurately sort, label, store goods and arrange storage to optimize warehouse space.

  • Pick, pack, and dispatch incoming and outgoing goods according to written or verbal requests orders.

  • Operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery.

  • Maintain clean and orderly work area, including routine housekeeping tasks and machine cleaning tasks and perform planned operator care and maintenance tasks as needed.

  • Adhere to all our relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to their Supervisor.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Minimal work experience required, Warehouse experience preferred.

  • Must be able to physically lift up to 50 pounds, comfortable working at heights wearing required personal protective equipment.

  • Forklift and/or other warehouse machinery operating experience preferred.

  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to effectively communicate in a positive and professional manner.

  • Please note, this is a fast-paced warehouse environment, there will be a lot of standing and lifting.

  • Experience working in a Union environment preferred, ability to look up parts and utilize Courier platforms for shipping.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education, Licenses, Certifications

  • High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

  • Requires Cummins provided certification to operate powered industrial vehicles (reach trucks, order pickers, pallet rider, etc.).

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
